About the position
As a truck driver at Hoogweg, you play a crucial role in our logistics process. You ensure that our peppers, pallets, and crates are delivered to the correct locations. Additionally, you will be responsible for carefully transporting, loading, and inspecting the cargo. Most of your driving will take place on our premises, with trips to our location in Nootdorp.
Your responsibilities and tasks
- Driving the truck between our various locations.
- Loading and unloading our peppers at different sites using a pallet truck.
- Coordinating with the planning team throughout the day to optimize your routes—because for you, driving with an empty truck is also a waste of your time.
- Safely transporting peppers, crates, and pallets and storing them correctly at their designated locations. You will use a handheld scanner to track inventory.
- Checking packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
- Keeping the truck clean according to the cleaning schedule.
- Since this is a seasonal position, you’ll have the option to take on other tasks during the winter months or work fewer hours.
